At 270cms this 9' rod being 4-piece is just right for a travel rod. A superb performer and at this price it introduces a new disposable market, (not that you'd want to leave it behind). Although graded for a #6/7 line most small rods are versatile and it can cast line from #4 - #8 lines very well. The fight of a ½lb wild brown trout transmits right to the elbow and is great sport on this superb lightweight rod. The rods finish and action belie its pedigree and it can't be recommended highly. It's difficult to see how other manufacturers can justify prices in excess of 10 times greater. Start your wild fishing with this rod and it shall be with you for life; yours or the rod's but if you're clumsy it's cost you next to nothing to start with nor replacing it.
