Comedy Night with Lloyd Langford

An evening of stand-up comedy in the recently refurbished setting of The Function Room at Pontyclun Rugby Club. Sat at candlelit tables, you will enjoy an evening of top comedy without the need to venture into Cardiff. Headlining the show is Lloyd Langford, a stand-up comedian, writer and actor. Best-known for his role on Ask Rhod Gilbert, his other TV credits include QI, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Don’t Sit in the Front Row and Dave’s One Night Stand. Additionally, Lloyd is a writer in great demand, contributing to Buzzcocks, Live at The Apollo, Man Down and Here Be Dragons, for which he recently won a Radio Academy Award. He has also written for a diverse range of comedians (including Simon Amstell, Frankie Boyle, Frank Skinner and David Walliams) and regularly features on Radio 4. Opening the show is Phil Jerrod. Phil began his stand-up career underneath an Angus Steakhouse in 2012. Since then he has failed his PhD, walked out of his job in publishing and been entertaining audiences up and down the country with his elegant rants on the often unfathomable problems of modern life. Hosting the evening is Lloyd Griffith, a comedian, choirboy and a good looking guy according to his website. He took his debut solo show to Edinburgh fringe festival in 2014 to rave reviews. In 2014 he appeared on BBC3’s Sweat The Small Stuff, BBC Radio 1s Live Lounge Comedy Club as well as supporting Rob Beckett on his 2013-2014 sold out UK tour. In 2015 Lloyd appeared on RTE’s Hey Ho Let’s Go and later in the year Lloyd took his second show ‘Great Grimsby’s Big Turn On’ to Edinburgh, again, to rave reviews. Also on the bill will be two up-and-coming comedians. Please note that by booking the best acts, we cannot guarantee that there will be no changes to the line-up due to TV filming etc. In the case of a change in line-up no refunds will be offered. Tickets are £10 ;
