An evening of stand-up comedy at The Function Room in Pontyclun. Sat at candlelit tables, you will enjoy an evening of laughter presented by the award winning The Comedy Cow. Each comedy night features 5 comedians, handpicked by The Comedy Cow to ensure variety, and the best possible night of entertainment, at affordable prices. Headlining the evening is Paul Sinha. Since 2011 Paul has been one of the regular “Chasers” on ITV’s award winning quiz show The Chase. Medically qualified Paul Sinha is now a critically acclaimed international stand up comedian of many years standing who first achieved media recognition in 2006 when his solo show Saint or Sinha was nominated for the If.comedy (formerly Perrier) award at the Edinburgh Festival. Since then he has been something of a fixture on Radio 4. Opening the show is Abi Roberts, born in Ely, Cardiff, Abi moved to London when she was seven, but spent her formative years in Wales watching JPR Williams with her Welsh grandfather. In her four years in professional stand-up comedy, Abi has the accolade of having supported major league performers such as Michael McIntyre, Sarah Millican, Jack Whitehall and Tom Stade. Musical comedian Tamar Broadbent will also be appearing. Tamar is a comedian, singer, actor and award-winning songwriter, who studied English at Bristol University and went on to train at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Tamar was a finalist in this year's Amused Moose Laugh Off and Funny Women comedy competitions and her TV appearances include Lee Nelson's Well Funny People, The Bill and Doctors. From the wilds of West Wales comes Steffan Evans who will be performing a short set. A humble welshman with a self depricating charm. Relatively new to stand up comedy having his mid life crisis very early on in life. He is here to give you a smile, a laugh and hopefully the motivation to brush up on your Welsh language skills. The evening will be hosted by a professional.
