An opportunity for children ages 6 to 11 who have started or want to start learning to play the Cello to learn and consolidate their skills and knowledge on music theory, music history and to learn how to play together in a group.
A fabulous opportunity to enhance kids' intellectual and artistic development, while also learning to be self-disciplined and focused, and understand they play an active role in a cohesive group where each and every member's contribution is paramount.
The sessions will take place either on Sundays at 10h30m and the rehearsal lasts 50 minutes, although members need to be there 10 minutes before the start to settle down and tune and have to count with an extra 5 to 10 minutes at the end to pack.
Booking online required: sets of 10 or of 24 sessions required, to ensure continuity.
We are trying to get a few cellos to lend temporarily to young students whose families cannot afford to buy one upfront, but each participant will need to have their own instrument as soon as possible. There are diverse sizes of cellos for young learners, but a 1/4, a 1/2 or a 3/4 cello (depending on each kid's age and height) should be appropriate.
