This PC, which is genuinely powerful, was built mainly to be a high power media player and encoder. Although built for media, it gives a solid show of itself for gaming. It's in no way the very best out there but it easily powers all but the most intensive modern games at full resolution.
Anything you want to do online is like a relaxing holiday for it, so social media,youtube etc etc will never stretch it and it stays quiet. It has 3 cooling case fans that are also Blue LED lit, by spreading the load across them all it keeps noise down to a minimum no matter what your doing even if at full load
The case, as you can see, is white, clean, cool looking and is also lit with blue LED. I wanted it to look fresh so rather than hiding it away ,as some do, I can have it sat side on with the ambient lighting showing and it is a pretty machine.
PSU is a 620w model that was chosen for its db levels at high draw. Its perfect for this set up and does it's job quietly and efficiently.
The AMD cpu is Quad Core and again I chose that model for its speed and power but as it's only been a media player it has ran nowhere near any of its limits staying whisper quiet with the small Freezer Pro cooler. The fan is mounted on soft rubber mounts to absorb any vibrations and again keeping noise to an absolute minimum.
Ram memory is 8GB of Corsair Vengence DDR3. Quality RAM is important to get the maximum out of all the other components without it being stretched. It's well built with Aluminium coolers so deals with intensive loads very well. It's stable memory and keeps everything working smoothly.
The EVGA GTX660 is a well respected graphics card, and a solid performer with anything it's tasked, be that video, audio or gaming. Again it's well built enough to handle high loads but does not become noisy at the same time,so is not obtrusive at movie time.
It has full HDMI output and it produces excellent, top quality movie reproduction,it's so overpowered for that it's almost embarrassing : ) Rest assured it has never been overclocked, tweaked or played with in any way.
The Gygabyte motherboard is the perfect fit for this config. It has more USB ports than you'll ever need. It is also USB 3 compliant that I've never used as I didn't want to buy new back up storage to make use of it.Its there if you need it though.
Windows 10 is installed onto it's own SANDISK 128gb SSD drive. It works so quickly it's almost as if its psychic.
It also has an INTEGRAL 128gb SSD that is used for processing media but can be used to speed up anything you want to.
Media storage is 2 x 2tb hard drives so unless your a real horder of ripped 50gb 3D blurays you wont struggle for storage.
It's currently connected to my 55" LED tv and can be seen working, of course I can play a few films for you to if you'd like.
Internet is dealt with by standard Ethernet connection as it has the highest capacity for traffic which is important for downloading etc.
It does have an N rated WIFI dongle that you can use for browsing,social media,YouTube etc if you'd like to.
Included in the cost are all the cables you'll need, namely a power lead, 5m HDMI lead, 5m Ethernet.
There is a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse that will come with it.
