- Undertake the research and suggest modifications to existing programs which can create production efficiencies and improve the established machining techniques in terms of energy use and material handling. The research also includes advises on environmental control and different processes
- Read engineering drawings and determine material, equipment, coolant pipes and its capacities
- Create/Setting up the correct programme on CNC and prove it on the system
- Produce manufacturing components to drawing tolerances (design specification) and within the quality specification supplied. (Health and Safety)
- Undertake the comprehensive range of surface treatments after manufacturing by choosing the correct tooling and holding devices
- Organise a control system to monitor production efficiency
- Carry out visual inspection and the 1st off inspection using CMM, Shadowgraph or relevant gauges.
- Check and complete the necessary quality documentation.
