The Mules - Holiday Cottage Newbiggin by the Sea

Set in the heart of this friendly seaside village, The Mules is an ideal location for strolling along the promenade, trying some traditional fish and chips or delicious snacks in one of the quaint cafés. Only a few strides from the sandy beach, The Mules offer comfortable accommodation for families or groups of friends. Unfortunately we do not cater for hen or stag breaks, and strictly no contractors. Refurbished late 2014, the terraced accommodation comprises of a large sitting room/ diner, equipped with an electric fire, flat screen Freesat TV, DVD player, and CD player/ IPod docking system. The kitchen provides a gas hob over an electric cooker, slim line dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge, freezer, and microwave. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the property. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, all with Freeview TVs. Bedroom one has a king size bed, bedroom two has two single beds, and bedroom three has one single bed. A travel cot, highchair, safety gate and baby bath is also available on request. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. The property is heated by a combi boiler central heating system, and is furnished to a very high standard to ensure your comfort. Roadside parking for one car is available to the front of the property and off road parking for one car to the rear. Rainy day items are provided, such as DVD's, books, games and toys. Set only a few strides from the sandy beach you can look out to the bay and see the UK's first offshore sculpture 'Couple'. The oldest operational boathouse in the UK is also just yards away from The Mules. At the end of the promenade you can visit the beautiful medieval church, St Bartholomew's, and the splendid seaside18 hole links golf course is only 200 yards away. Children's play area a stone's throw away. The area is steeped in rich history, so be sure to make a visit to the award winning Woodhorn Museum, approximately 2 miles from the property. Or for something closer to 'home' The Mules is a hop, skip and a jump away from the Maritime Centre, a local history centre with a wonderful beachfront café. Shopping - the village has a number of shops, including a Co-operative Food Store. An Asda superstore is a short drive.
