After Emerald Kitty Entertainment’s sell out shows "Welcome to Burlesque" & "Burlesque At The Vyne" last year we are pleased to announce that our all new Burlesque variety show "Back To Burlesque" will be hitting the stage of The Vyne Arts Theatre on Saturday 2nd April 2016. “Back To Burlesque” is a hilarious burlesque spoof about the misadventures of 6 mischievous nuns who after sneaking out to play bingo one night, return to the convent to find the rest of the nuns face down in their food after being accidently poisoned by the convent cook Sister Mary Broccoli. After raiding the convent piggy bank the nuns soon realise they have no money to bury their dearly departed sisters and are forced to store the bodies in the kitchen freezer. The threat of an impending visit by Emerald Kitty’s department of health drive the remaining sisters in to a praying frenzy. While praying their Reverend Mother “Sister Mary Maudlin” (A.K.A Maude) has a vision in which she is told to produce a burlesque variety show in order to raise funds for the burials. One of the surviving nuns Sister Julia Roberts (an ex showgirl & cabaret entertainer) is put in charge of organising the show. After auditioning the remaining nuns she soon realises she is lacking the necessary number of nuns to put on a successful show, so decides to bring in a few old friends from her cabaret days including Dee Riley (Comic Magician), Pearl Grey (Burlesque Artist), Mariposa Bop (Burlesque Artist) to name but a few. Featuring some of Britain's Top Burlesque Talent along with a mix of astounding local professional talent. This show includes comedy, magic, music and don’t forget tassel swinging.
