Indefinite Leave to Remain (to Settle) or British Citizenship (B1)
For Indefinite Leave to Remain (to settle) or British Citizenship you must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level B1 in Speaking & Listening. You will also need to take a Life in UK Test as part of your application

Further Leave to Remain (Extension) Visas (A2)
There is a new requirement from May 2017 that after two and a half years in the UK, non-EEa national partners and parrents on the five-year partner or parent rout to settlement will need to pass a SELT in Speaking & Listening at A2 Level in order to qualify for Further Leave to Remain.

For Further Leave to Remain Extension Visa you must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR Level A2 in Speaking & Listening.
