Organisation: Afribate_ African voices“The voice of the voiceless” Afribate provides information and support to improve policies and attitudes in partnership with independent local charities in Liberia and Zambia. This is because the organisation is determined to put an end to child abuse and are keen to promote awareness of such taboo issues, reinforcing the importance of education for the benefit of African Children.This is an opportunity to be involved with a small group which is at the forefront of helping abused victims in Liberia and Zambia. Recent statistics show that one in four children will experience some form of abuse before the age of 18. Trustee:
We are currently seeking to recruit new members to our Board of Trustees. The role of a Board member is to assist in setting up the policy framework and organisational structure which will enable Afribate to deliver high-quality, educational and beneficial services for abused victims. We welcome people from all the diverse communities in the UK who have an interest in helping abuse victims. We are particularly interested in recruiting individuals with knowledge and experience in working with children, humanitarian relief and who are generally interested in making a difference.
