Anti-wrinkle Treatment Botulinum Toxin A (BOTOX®) is widely known and widely used. This can be used in the facial muscles and allow wrinkles to be relaxed by restricting movement in the facial muscles. It is very safe to use and has been used for over 30 years for other medical conditions including blepharospasm and muscle spasticity. It has been approved for cosmetic use by the FDA and MHRA. The dermal fillers we use at Smooth&Flawless are synthesised from hyaluronic acid, which is globally the most popular type of dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is also used medically for joint pain, and medical aesthetic applications. It is also supported in the collagen skin matrix. The component is slowly absorbed over time as the molecules that are present in the fillers mimic the natural compounds found in the collagen of the skin. The collagen in the skin over time reduces, causing the drooping effect and the developing of folds and creases. Unlike conventional facials, these skin peels penetrate into the skin, remove the dead skin cells to encourage the stimulation of collagen and elastin to rejuvenate the skin for a more youthful, brighter appearance. Acne is also targeted as the peels block pores and redness caused by acne, whilst they reduce hyperpigmentation by restoring an even skin tone. The AGERA® skin peels will provide immediate visible results and will not result in skin shedding or redness. Clients can choose to have 1 treatment or a course of 2 or 3 treatments, each 7-14 days apart. Maintenance treatment is recommended 3-4 months after initial treatment. The initial stages of the treatment will involve cleansing of the skin. It is advised that clients wear no makeup for this treatment. The practitioner will then use a prepping solution to prepare the skin for the peel. The peel is applied to the skin and is activated by the application of cold water. Clients may choose to add a microdermabrasion treatment into the peel treatment. The type of treatment you will receive will depend on the outcome of your consultation.
